After a decade as an annual gathering for the telecommunications industry, the Bali Annual Telkom International Conference (BATIC) enters its 11th edition with a broader scope. It will bring together not only telecom operators, but also enterprise AI players, cloud providers, hyperscalers, investors, and regulators from different countries on one stage.
The conference is organized by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), the international-focused operating company of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom). It will take place on August 24–28, 2026, at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. The event is expected to attract more than 2,300 delegates from around 600 companies across 55 countries.
Under the theme “Uniting Ecosystem to Drive Connected Progress,” this year’s conference responds to the current state of the global digital industry. AI, cloud computing, next-generation connectivity, and digital infrastructure are becoming increasingly interconnected.
Sustainable progress, the organizers say, can therefore only be achieved through collaboration across industries, technologies, and ecosystems, rather than through innovation happening in isolation.
The participant base is also expanding. It will include business leaders, technology providers, regulators, investors, hyperscalers, and digital innovators. Discussions will range from AI adoption and digital infrastructure to trusted connectivity and sustainable digital growth.
A New Focus on Enterprise AI
The main addition this year is ignitePRO, a separate executive conference integrated into the BATIC program. It will focus specifically on enterprise transformation in the era of “Autonomous AI.”
Unlike BATIC, which has traditionally targeted telecom operators, ignitePRO is aimed directly at business and technology decision-makers. Its discussions will cover AI, cybersecurity, reliable digital infrastructure, governance, and cloud ecosystems.
These areas are positioned as the foundation for organizations to accelerate AI implementation from exploration to enterprise-scale adoption, through practical case studies and cross-industry collaboration.
The main BATIC conference will cover subsea cable infrastructure and resilient fiber networks, AI-based communications, cloud innovation, digital platforms, and ecosystem partnerships that support growth at scale across the Asia-Pacific region.
More Global Leaders, New Cross-Industry Connections
This year’s event also introduces two new initiatives. Expert Spotlight Sessions will offer in-depth discussions with globally recognized industry leaders. Meanwhile, expanded collaboration with international industry associations and technology communities will open new cross-sector business connections.
These collaborations will take the form of joint forums, technical workshops, executive roundtables, and community-led sessions. Delegates will be able to exchange insights, discuss shared challenges, and build partnerships across industries.
Telin CEO Abdul Rahman Ansyori said BATIC continues to evolve alongside changes in the digital industry landscape.
