In 2023, the production of milled rice in Southeast Asia was dominated by six countries, namely Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Cambodia. 
Indonesia led in the region, ranking fourth globally with a rice production of 34 million metric tons, while Vietnam ranked fifth with a production of 26.94 million metric tons.
