Germany's Adidas has unveiled a new addition to its Island Series collection called SS25 Sumatra, drawing inspiration from the rich culture and natural beauty of the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
This launch follows the success of previous releases, such as the Adidas Bali and Adidas Java editions, and pays tribute to Sumatra’s diverse heritage—ranging from breathtaking landscapes and vibrant ethnic cultures to unique cuisine.
The special-edition sneakers feature the iconic Samba silhouette in luxurious maroon tones, and include two sets of shoelaces—one of which incorporates the design of the traditional Ulos fabric from the Batak people of North Sumatra, symbolizing warmth and familial love.
Each pair also comes with exclusive accessories like a sticker pack and postcard, and will be available starting April 1 on adidas.co.id and select retail partners across Indonesia.
