AirAsia unveiled its enhanced cabin crew uniform at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2025, featuring Malaysia-Indonesia regional craftsmanship and incorporating up to 40% recycled textile materials for improved comfort, fit, and functionality.

The upgraded fabric blend offers a softer feel, better flexibility, and ease of movement for cabin crew during long working hours, while maintaining lightweight properties and easy care requirements to support crew performance with confidence.

AirAsia Group Head of Cabin Crew Suhaila Hassan emphasized that the uniforms represent "a change in mindset" beyond fabric innovation, reflecting the airline's environmental and social principles while prioritizing crew comfort with breathable, easy-to-move designs.

The launch also featured a redesigned handbag conceptualized by a Malaysian designer, adding homegrown creativity to the ensemble, while AirAsia X simultaneously introduced modest uniform variants for select routes including Jeddah and Medina.

This milestone marks AirAsia's decade-long partnership with KLFW, showcasing the airline's commitment to supporting ASEAN talent and innovation through the Design to Sustain segment, with performances by Malaysian pop group DOLLA celebrating regional diversity and collaboration.
