Indonesia has yet to decide on purchasing missiles from India's BrahMos Aerospace, as its defense ministry spokesman, Frega Wenas, confirmed that multiple missile systems are still under consideration.
While BrahMos, a joint venture between India and Russia, has been in talks with Jakarta for a deal worth between $200 million and $350 million since 2023, no formal contract has been signed.
The country is reviewing shore-based and ship-mounted versions of the mid-range missiles, with interest from other potential buyers in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
BrahMos, which secured its first foreign deal with the Philippines in 2022, has not commented on the ongoing discussions, leaving Indonesia’s final decision uncertain.
