Singapore’s 2025 household survey shows more residents under 40 staying single. Women aged 25-29 saw singlehood rise from 69% to 73.4%, the sharpest jump among women.
For men, the biggest rise was ages 30-34, from 41.9% to 47.6%. IPS researcher Kalpana Vignehsa says young adults still want partnerships but prioritise career and education first.
Married couples with kids still lead households at 47.6%, down from 50.4% in 2020.
