Thailand has officially launched its first AI-powered police robot, dubbed “Cyborg 1.0,” making its public debut during the bustling Songkran festival in Bangkok.

Designed to enhance public safety during one of the country’s most crowded celebrations, the robot combines artificial intelligence with real-time surveillance features to monitor traffic, assist tourists, and respond to incidents.

Dressed in a full police uniform and equipped with cameras, microphones, and sensors, Cyborg 1.0 is built not only to patrol but also to engage with the public using facial recognition and multilingual communication capabilities.

Authorities hope this cutting-edge tech will support human officers in managing large crowds while laying the foundation for a more modernized and tech-savvy police force.

As Thailand takes this bold step into robotic law enforcement, the debut of its digital officer hints at a future where AI might play an even bigger role in urban safety and crowd control.
