Thailand's Café Amazon has cemented its position as Southeast Asia's largest coffee chain, surpassing the 5,000-outlet milestone worldwide — making it the sixth-largest coffeehouse chain globally by number of locations.
Owned and operated by PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), the chain has grown from a humble roadside coffee stop inside PTT petrol stations in 2002 into a multinational brand now present across 10 countries spanning Asia and the Middle East.
In the second quarter of 2025 alone, Café Amazon sold over 107 million cups of coffee — roughly 1.2 million cups per day — representing a 4.9% year-on-year growth, driven by steady store expansion and strong consumer demand across all markets.
The brand's rise has been recognized globally, with Café Amazon winning the World Branding Awards 2024–2025 by the World Branding Forum for the eighth consecutive year — a remarkable streak that underscores its staying power as a Thai brand on the international stage.
Beyond commerce, Café Amazon's "Café Amazon for Chance" program has expanded to over 430 outlets across Thailand, providing meaningful employment to underserved communities including the hearing-impaired and elderly — proving that one of Asia's biggest coffee empires is also one of its most socially conscious.
