6 Best Airports with Free Tours for Transit Passengers

Find yourself in a more than 4-hour waiting time in these airports? Go beyond the glossy shops and overpriced food to take part in city tour, all free for transit passengers!

 

1. Changi Airport, Singapore

Singapore is one of the first to offer free tour for transit passengers. If you have at least 5.5 hours for your next flight, you can join free 2.5 guided tours. The Heritage Tour runs 4 times daily, highlighting the most historic places in Singapore. For urban lovers, City Sights Tour runs 2 times daily with more modern attractions, such as Merliorn Park and Marina Bay Sands. Click here for more information.

 

2. Incheon Airport, Seoul

Incheon Airport also offers free tours for layover passengers. Although only last 1.5 hours, you will visit traditional craft gallery and traditional Korean culture centre, as well as see the Walk of Royal Family and classic concert. Taoyuan Aiport offers a free half-day tour, highlighting famous landmarks of the city. I am bias to the afternoon tour cause it will visit my favourite spots, including Taipei 101, Longshan Temple, and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Park. 6. Doha Hamad Airport, Qatar

If you are flying with Qatar Airways and have 5- to 12-hour transit in the airport, you are welcome to join the free city tour. The tour last for about three hours, and you will visit for key landmarks, including The Pearl-Qatar, Katara Cultural Village, Souq Waqif, and Museum of Islamic Art.
