When doing the ranking for world’s top international tourism destinations, it is preferable to take more than a single indicator into account. Recently report released by UNWTO, it ranked according to the two key tourism indicators; international tourist arrivals and international tourism receipts.

In defining international tourism receipts, the figure and rankings above wouldn't be the same.
This is because International tourism receipts are defined (by WTO) as the expenditure of international inbound visitors including their payments to national carriers for international transport. They also include any other payments or payments afterwards made for goods and services received in the destination country.
Based on the report, here are the top international tourism receipts ranking in Asia Pacific for 2016:
THAILAND: #1
US$49,871 MILLION

US$44,432 MILLION

HONG KONG: #3
