Jokowi as a president Republik of Indonesia joining virtual dialog by the World Economic Forum (WEF) with 50 global business leaders.

What is World economic forum?


WEF is The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business, cultural, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas.
It was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
In that forum, Mr. Jokowi promoted the Job Creation Law or Omnibus Law and the condition of coronavirus. This event was held on November 25 2020 in respective countries.
Joko Widodo address the idea of the Job Creation Law in Indonesia with stressed to help and improve the country's investment in the country's investment climate and the government's commitment to engage and the contribution of private parties that can restore the economic situation to be stronger because as we all know it is currently unstable due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Significant support from the business community in [the law’s] implementation is essential, as it will add value to the government’s efforts in handling the pandemic and support economic recovery in a balanced and synergetic manner,” he said in the opening of World economy forum.
In this conference, Mr. Jokowi is accompanied by Erick Thohir (State-owned enterprises), Retno Marsudi (Foreign Minister), and Luhut Pandjaitan (Coordinating Maritime Affairs and investment minister).

As the biggest economy in Southeast Asia's Largest who has been in financial struggle and recession since 1998, the Indonesian government try to anticipate it by creating an Omnibus Law or Job creation Law in the pandemic situation today.
The government delete and amends thousands of provisions in around 80 laws, ease the license procurement process, and relax labor regulations and eventually attract investment then create more jobs.
Today, pandemic COVID-19 is increased in the second wave round. The economy is shrank 3.49 percent in the third quarter. Before is 5.32 percent in the second quarter. Therefore, the government is hope this condition becomes better while the doctors are fighting against COVID-19.
The government claims that the omnibus law is expected to restore Indonesia's economy. We hope all ASEAN and WORLD countries can fight this Pandemic and find the solution to increase the economical aspects. Indonesian country becomes the example how government try to engage investor to invest in Indonesia.
