The World's Most Friendly and Welcoming Cities For All People on Earth in 2022

Booking.com's choice of the world's most welcoming cities for 2022 includes destinations as diverse as the charming village of Bruges, Belgium, and the sun and beach of Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia.

The southern Italian city of Matera, which is renowned for being one of the oldest continually inhabited settlements in the world with stone age cave houses, tops the list this year.

Based on the percentage of Traveller Review Award 2022 winners in each area, the list shows the 10 places that Booking.com platform users believe to be the friendliest.

Taitung City (Taiwan), Nusa Lembongan (Indonesia), and Hoi An (Vietnam) are the three cities in Asia on the list. So let's concentrate and talk about Hoi An and Nusa Lembongan.

Nusa Lembongan (Indonesia)

The even smaller island of Nusa Lembongan, which is separated from Bali by the Badung Strait and is located near the smaller islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan, is home to unparalleled beauty.

You may easily hop over for a day excursion since Sanur on Bali's east coast is only a 20-minute quick boat journey from the Nusa Islands.

Another little island with lovely, white sand beaches is Nusa Lembongan. Dream Beach, Mushroom Bay, Coconuts Beach, and Jungutbatu Beach are just a few of the gorgeous beaches you may explore nearby. Each of the four of them has a unique charm that sets them apart from one another.

Another well-liked beach is Secret Point Beach. It is understandable why Nusa Lembongan is known as The Home of Dreamy Beaches.

On this island, you are free to explore everything you desire. The well-known activities, like as surfing and swimming with a large manta ray, may be a must-try when you are there. However, simply taking in the scenery is well worth it.

Don't forget to see Blue Lagoon, Devil's Tear, and The Edge of the Earth, also known as The Bridge of Love, which links Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.

This trip is a genuine adventure waiting to happen, whether you come for a week-long honeymoon between the ultra-chilled beaches of Nusa Ceningan or just a fast day of surfing on Lembongan's Shipwrecks break.

Most importantly, we'd say it's the ideal location to visit if you want to escape the bustle of southern Bali. After a simple ferry ride, you're in a Southeast Asian paradise free of tourists.

Hoi An (Vietnam)

One of Vietnam's most popular tourist attractions, Hoi An is the ideal place to experience what life was like in a port city in the eighteenth century. Compared to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An is a bit more rural and smaller.

Hoi An, a historic town that was formerly a commercial harbor in Southeast Asia, is located in central Vietnam's Quang Nam Province.

The city has architecture with Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese designs due to the majority of its foreign traders being Japanese, Chinese, and Westerners. In addition to its amazing architecture, Hoi An is renowned for its delectable street food.

These are the ten things you should know before visiting Hoi An because it has so many interesting things to offer.

Hoi An Ancient Town still exudes a peculiar beauty that can be found on every roof, street corner, and even in the narrow streets. This location exudes an antiquated charm and has unique features. Visitors can sense the residents' affection when they come here.

Cycling is the quickest and least expensive method to move around Hoi An while taking in all the beauty. It just costs $1.

The majority of the hotels in the area provide bike rentals, but if you're having trouble finding one, you can always check the many rental shops outside the hotel.

There are cycling tours that provide fantastic chances to explore the nearby region and its buffalo herds, fishing communities, and rice fields.

Fun Fact! When in Hoi An, the best places to convert money are in gold and jewelry stores because they offer the best rates. Banks also offer lower rates, but not as low as jewelry stores.

It is possible to exchange currencies in hotels and restaurants, however the exchange rates are not as good. After landing, one can exchange currency at the airport. When changing money at the airport, it is best to do so sparingly and then locate a jewelry store to change the remainder.
