Top Southeast Asian Brands Make Strides in 2024 Brand Finance Ranking

 Eight brands from Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia, have secured positions among the world's 500 most valuable brands in the 2024 Brand Finance ranking.

Leading the pack

  • Petronas (Malaysia): The top Malaysian oil and gas giant, Petronas, climbed 14 spots to the 140th position, becoming the most valuable brand in Southeast Asia.
  • DBS (Singapore): Following closely is Singapore's DBS bank, maintaining its position at 193rd.

  • Viettel (Vietnam): The Vietnamese telecommunications company, Viettel, slipped seven places to the 241st rank.
  • PTT Thailand: Thailand's PTT experienced a significant jump of 78 positions, landing at the 267th spot.
  • Marina Bay Sands (Singapore): The iconic Marina Bay Sands saw a remarkable rise of 369 ranks, securing the 366th position globally.
  • UOB (Singapore): UOB, another Singaporean bank, climbed nine places to the 410th position.

Financial sector representation

  • BRI (Indonesia): Indonesia's BRI bank made a notable leap of 111 positions, reaching the 446th place.
  • OCBC Bank (Singapore): However, OCBC Bank of Singapore witnessed a decline of 48 positions, landing at the 483rd rank.
