Louis Vuitton, a renowned global fashion brand, brings innovation to Thailand with a new concept that includes an exhibition, café, store, and restaurant by renowned chef Gaggan Anand. Presenting a 360-degree retail concept, "LV The Place Bangkok" finally opened its doors on February 28 at the newly renovated Gaysorn Amarin.

Located on two floors of the downtown retail complex, 'LV The Place Bangkok' transforms the ambiance into a dreamlike experience. With its strategic location, its facade is adorned with giant diamond shapes reminiscent of Louis Vuitton's famous monogram, creating a dazzling glow at night. Inside, this captivating space is designed to harmoniously integrate aspects of retail, culinary and cultural experiences.

On the first floor, Le Café, the designer brand's first café in Thailand, offers a variety of tempting pastries and elegant desserts (reportedly prepared by the Blue by Alain Ducasse pastry kitchen), accompanied by a cup of LV-branded coffee.

Le Café Louis Vuitton features a green ambiance that blends botanical design with elegant elements of the Maison, including Monogram parquet floors and Objets Nomades furniture. The pastry selection includes cakes, tarts, parfaits, and ice cream sandwiches in a variety of flavors, all adorned with Louis Vuitton's signature embellishments. The menu includes Star Blossom Cake, Monogram Cake, and fresh local drinks such as Mango Sticky Rice Fizz.

The interior, which reflects the Southeast Asian climate, uses natural materials such as wood, raffia, and plants, while a large curved table displays desserts for customers to enjoy.

Prices for cakes start at B550, while cookies go for B1,700 for a box of five. But when you take them home, they come in Louis Vuitton's signature orange box, adding value to their luxurious price.

The first floor also features Visionary Journeys, an immersive exhibition that takes you on a journey through the brand's history and past collaborations. The scenographic experience by OMA and Shohei Shigematsu, marking the first partnership between OMA and Louis Vuitton, presents an architectural identity for the exhibition concept. Thematic spaces reinterpret historical and contemporary pieces, immersing visitors in the fundamental pillars of expertise, innovation, travel and creation.

Starting with the "Trunkscape", where 96 modules of trunks are assembled into a tunnel, visitors are immersed in the history of the craft. Origins' highlights the contributions of the Vuitton family, from trunk makers to monogram canvas, reflecting the brand's continuity.

Dedicated to 'Iconic Bags', this room celebrates 25 years of fashion history at Louis Vuitton through five iconic bag models and the artistic director's interpretations, advancing craftsmanship and style. 21 bags and two ready-to-wear displays are presented in 19 acrylic bubbles.

The 'Collaboration' room explores the artistic relationships that have created popular bags. Seven original creations by artists such as Stephen Sprouse, Richard Prince, Takashi Murakami, and Yayoi Kusama demonstrate the potential for collaboration, while animated screens showcase each artist's distinctive pattern. In the Giveaway Room, visitors have the chance to win souvenirs.

This is an exciting and awe-inspiring way to get to know the French brand. Admission is free, but make sure to reservation.

On the second floor, you'll find a boutique with several exclusive items and the much-talked-about Gaggan at Louis Vuitton, a fine dining restaurant with renowned chef Gaggan Anand. Lunch options start at B4,000, while dinner will set you back around B8,000.

Starting March 1, 2024, Le Café and Gaggan at LV The Place Bangkok will begin taking reservations. Full payment is required to confirm reservations. Visitors are also asked to advise of any allergies or dietary restrictions at least 72 hours prior to arrival.
