eaJ's 'The 1/9 Tour in Jakarta' Blends Energy with Solidarity for Palestine
eaJ Concert

The solo concert of Jae Park, known with his stage name eaJ, titled 'The 1/9 Tour', was successfully held by promoter Rajawali Indonesia at Basket Hall, GBK Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, November 21, 2025.

This concert not only featured a captivating musical performance but also served as a platform for delivering profound messages of humanity, leaving an unforgettable impression on the thousands of attendees.

eaJ, the US-South Korean Musician

eaJ, born Jae Park, is a musician, singer, and songwriter of Argentine birth who grew up in the United States and South Korea. He is best known as the guitarist and vocalist for the South Korean pop-rock band DAY6, under JYP Entertainment.

In 2021, he officially launched his solo career under the name eaJ. His solo tracks, such as "Car Crash," "50 Proof," and "LA TRAINS," showcase a more experimental and personal musical color compared to DAY6's music.

One of his most famous songs is "Pacman," a track that metaphorically depicts his struggles in the music industry and has become a symbol of resilience for him and his fans. Beyond his solo work, eaJ is also active in collaborating with various international musicians.

In Indonesia, he was part of the lineup for the Prambanan Jazz Festival 2025. His collaboration with Indonesian musician Hindia on the song "Right Where You Left Me" also won the hearts of listeners in both countries and strengthened his connection with the Indonesian music industry.

Brings Concert with High Energy

The concert began promptly at 8:15 PM Western Indonesia Time. As the venue lights dimmed, the cheers of thousands of fans broke the silence. eaJ then appeared on stage dressed in an all-black outfit, accompanied by a solid live band.

With overflowing energy, he opened the concert by shouting, "Indonesia, are you ready? Raise your hands!" He made an immediate impact by performing two of his signature songs, "Right Where You Left Me" and "Friendly Fire," back-to-back without a break. The atmosphere in Basket Hall instantly transformed into a sea of cheers and echoing collective singing.

After the opening songs, eaJ expressed his admiration for the audience's enthusiasm. "Indonesia is so much fun to be here. Indonesia, thank you. It wasn't easy for you to come here. You came here after work, right? Wow," he said.

Warm Interaction with Fans

During the third song, "Ruin My Life," eaJ surprised everyone by leaving the main stage and walking towards the right-side grandstand area. This spontaneous interaction thrilled the fans in that section. He didn't just sing but also greeted and interacted directly with fans up close, creating rare, intimate moments.

After returning to the stage to perform "In My Civic," he went down again, this time to the left grandstand, to sing "Mad." It was at this moment that an audience member handed him a Palestinian flag.

Without hesitation, eaJ accepted and raised the flag high throughout the song, a gesture of solidarity that was met with thunderous cheers of support from the crowd. The energy peaked further when he performed "Enemy" while venturing into the standing area. His proximity to the audience made the atmosphere even more vibrant and energetic.

Promotes Solidarity for Palestine

This concert was more than just a musical performance. eaJ deliberately and consistently wove in messages of humanity. Raising the Palestinian flag was not his only action. On stage, he announced a collaborative charity campaign with Rockologist, a brand from Yogyakarta.

"This is a pin with a Palestinian symbol, made in Indonesia. We are also selling Palestinian bracelets," he said while showing the merchandise. He emphasized that 100 percent of the profits from the sales would be donated to victims of the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

"Because the people there need our help now. 100 percent of the profits are for Palestine," he continued. Another humanitarian message was displayed clearly on the large screen during his performance of "When The Rain Stops," with the words "No Child Deserve to Die."

The black t-shirt he wore, inscribed with "Until All Have Heard," also reflected his commitment to continuously voicing important issues.

A Successful Soloist with a Distinctive Voice

Among the thousands of attendees was Arie, a dedicated eaJ fan since 2020. Before the concert, she had prepared by participating in the ticket "war" and getting her best outfit ready. "What I love about eaJ is his voice. It's very distinctive, and his ability to hit high notes," said Arie.

When asked about her favorite song, Arie immediately named "Pacman". "For me, 'Pacman' is more than just a song. The song tells the story of how we, the fans, supported him during difficult times, and conversely, through that song, eaJ invites all of us to take a pause and breathe in lives that sometimes feel hard and draining," she concluded.

Ending the Concert on an Emotional Note

Towards the end of the concert, a surprise came from the fans. A fan project in the form of a video containing supportive messages was played on the main screen, accompanied by Phil Collins' "You'll Be in My Heart". Seeing this, eaJ appeared moved and teary-eyed.

He then walked to the front of the stage and knelt down as a gesture of deep gratitude. "Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me. Three thousand people here are supporting me," he said.

However, he quickly lifted the mood by announcing the final song. The concert was closed with Paramore's "The Only Exception," sung along by the entire audience, ending nearly two hours of warmth and energy.
