All-terrain vehicle (ATV) rentals are available on-site to traverse the steep and expansive sand terrain. Travelers wishing to self-drive for 20 minutes with a companion are charged around 600,000 VND (around US$23).
The option to use a local driver is also available at a cost of 300,000 VND (around US$12) per person. The vehicle selection greatly assists visitors who want to enjoy the scenery without the hassle of steering.
Sandboarding using plastic sheets stands as the next iconic activity widely found at the red sand dunes area. Local children usually rent out the sliding boards for 10,000 to 20,000 VND (around US$0.40 to US$0.80) per session.
Another equally popular option involves hiring a tourist jeep collectively to tour around the hills. Jeep rental rates range between 400,000 and 500,000 VND (around US$15 to US$19) for a single exploration tour package.
Best Time to Visit
Shifting sky colors during dawn and dusk become the most sought-after moments on the sand hills. Morning sunlight turns the white sand expanse into a yellowish hue.
