Singapore Tops Southeast Asia and Ranks 6th Globally in Urban Mobility Readiness!
According to data published by the Oliver Wyman Forum and the University of California, Berkeley. Out of 65 cities, Helsinki ranks first globally followed by Amsterdam in second position and Stockholm in third position.
As for Southeast Asian cities, Singapore ranks best at 6th position, followed by Kuala Lumpur at 42nd position, Bangkok at 45th position, Jakarta at 49th position, and finally Manila at 60th position.
The Urban Mobility Readiness Index (UMRI) is an index that measures the readiness of cities to face challenges and opportunities in urban mobility. This index considers factors such as transportation infrastructure, technology, sustainability, public policies, and accessibility. UMRI 2023 provides an overview of how prepared a city is to meet the demands of mobility in the modern era.
