Highest International Tourist Arrival in the World, 2023

In 2023, Thailand emerged as the country with the highest international tourist arrivals in Southeast Asia and ranked 11th globally. According to a report from Statista, the number of international tourist arrivals worldwide saw a significant increase in 2023 compared to the previous year, particularly in the most visited destinations globally.

France retained its position as the most visited country in the world, attracting 100 million international tourist visits. Following France were Spain, the United States, and Italy, which held the next positions in the global rankings.

Thailand stood out as the only Southeast Asian country to make it into the top 15 for the highest international tourist arrivals. With a total of 28.15 million international visitors, Thailand secured the 11th spot on the global list. This achievement underscores Thailand's appeal as a premier tourist destination, known for its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cities.
