Indonesia has the highest number of airports in Southeast Asia and ranks 10th globally!
According to data released by Statista, which highlights the top 25 countries with the most airports in the world in 2021, the United States leads with the highest number of airports globally. In 2022, the U.S. had over 13,513 airports. Brazil follows in second place, with just under 4,100 airports as of 2021.
Within the top 25, only Indonesia and the Philippines are represented from Southeast Asia. Indonesia is ranked 10th with 673 airports, while the Philippines is ranked 24th with 247 airports.
