The largest stadiums in Borneo/Kalimantan, ranked by their capacity, serve as significant venues for sports and other large-scale events in the region. Leading the list is Batakan Stadium, located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, with a capacity of 40,000. Sharing the same capacity, Sarawak Stadium in Kuching, Sarawak, also accommodates up to 40,000 spectators.
Following closely are three stadiums with a capacity of 35,000 each: Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; Palaran Stadium in Samarinda, East Kalimantan; and Aji Imbut Stadium in Tenggarong, East Kalimantan. These stadiums are crucial in hosting regional events and contribute to the sporting culture in their respective areas.
Finally, the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan, with a capacity of 28,000, completes the list. Despite its smaller size compared to the others, it remains an important venue for national and regional events.
