Bali became the island with the most photogenic and beautiful sunsets in the world in 2024!
Based on a survey by Travel and Leisure, they compiled a list of the top 10 most photogenic sunsets in the world by scouring Instagram to see which destinations had the most sunset posts.
At the top of this list, with 182,661 Instagram posts, is Bali, an island in Indonesia long renowned for its surfing, beaches, waterfalls, and spiritual atmosphere. The best locations to enjoy sunsets in Bali are along its western beaches, often with historic temples in the background that enhance the beautiful sunset panoramas on the island.
Pura Uluwatu, an ancient Hindu temple perched on cliffs facing west, is a highly recommended choice. Further along the west coast, visitors can find several sandy beaches facing west, including Jimbaran Beach and Dreamland Beach (also known as New Kuta Beach).
