Southeast Asia has made significant strides in the Summer Paralympics over the years, with athletes from the region achieving notable success on the global stage. Leading the medal count is Thailand, which has established itself as the most successful Southeast Asian country in Paralympic history. Thailand's athletes have earned an impressive total of 24 gold, 29 silver, and 34 bronze medals, making the country a dominant force in the region.

Indonesia follows as the second-highest medal earner, with a commendable tally of 6 gold, 7 silver, and 14 bronze medals. Indonesia's performance has consistently improved over the years, and its athletes continue to inspire and represent the nation's resilience and determination.

Malaysia ranks third in the region, matching Indonesia’s gold medal count with 6 golds. In addition, Malaysian Paralympians have brought home 4 silver and 6 bronze medals, showcasing the country’s growing presence in the Paralympic movement.

As Southeast Asian nations continue to make their mark in the Paralympic Games, Indonesia's athletes will once again shine on the global stage with a special kit designed for the Paris 2024 Paralympics. This unique kit is the result of a collaboration between renowned Indonesian designer Didiet Maulana of IKAT Indonesia, Mills Sportswear, the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPC Indonesia). The kit symbolizes the spirit and determination of Indonesia's Paralympians as they compete in Paris, representing both their nation and the region with pride.

As Southeast Asia looks ahead to the Paris 2024 Paralympics, the athletes' achievements from past Games will continue to inspire the next generation of Paralympians, as they strive to break new ground and bring home more medals for their countries.
