In the latest rankings published by UniRank for the Best Islamic Universities and Colleges in 2024 worldwide, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) has secured an impressive second place. This accolade highlights IIUM's standing as a leading institution within the global Islamic education landscape.
Cairo University in Egypt clinched the top spot, showcasing its prominent role in Islamic education. Following closely behind IIUM is Jordan University of Science and Technology, which claims third place.
Notably, Indonesia also makes a strong showing in the rankings, with three universities among the top 10. Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara secures the fourth position, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka ranks seventh, and Universitas Islam Indonesia holds the ninth spot.
These rankings underscore the significant contributions of Islamic universities in Southeast Asia and beyond, reflecting their academic excellence, research contributions, and commitment to Islamic values and education.
