AirAsia X announces the launch of a new direct route connecting Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, starting October 15, 2025, operating three times weekly to enhance travel connectivity between Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

CEO Benyamin Ismail stated that this strategic expansion follows the successful performance of their Almaty route, with the new service connecting travelers from Tashkent to over 130 destinations worldwide through Kuala Lumpur's Fly-Thru hub.

The route supports Uzbekistan's ambitious tourism target of attracting 15.8 million international visitors by 2025, while Ambassador Karomidin Gadoev described the direct flights as "a landmark development for Uzbekistan–Malaysia relations."

Promotional fares start from just USD199 (UZS2,719,000) one-way with an additional 20% discount available for travel between October 15 and December 15, 2025, bookable until August 3, 2025.

This expansion strengthens Malaysia–Uzbekistan cooperation in trade, education, and Islamic tourism while supporting Malaysia's Visit Malaysia Year 2026 initiative to attract more Central Asian travelers.
