China has voiced its support for a post-war governance plan for Gaza, which has been endorsed by the Palestinian people and agreed upon by Arab states, according to foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian.
At an emergency Arab summit in Cairo, Arab leaders approved Egypt’s $53 billion reconstruction plan, aiming to rebuild Gaza while ensuring that Palestinians are not displaced from their land, alongside the formation of a technocratic committee to govern Gaza for at least six months under the Palestinian Authority.
China has praised Egypt and other Arab nations for their efforts to ensure a lasting ceasefire, facilitate humanitarian aid, and restore stability, emphasizing that the principle of "the Palestinians governing Palestine" should be upheld in line with the two-state solution.
Ultimately, China believes that achieving peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel is key to ensuring long-term stability in the Middle East.
