Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced Indonesia’s willingness to temporarily shelter Palestinians affected by the war in Gaza, with plans to accept an initial group of around 1,000 people.
He stated that he has ordered the Foreign Minister to coordinate swiftly with Palestinian representatives and other stakeholders to organize the evacuation process.
Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia is prepared to take in the wounded, the traumatized, and orphans, offering them refuge until they recover and it is safe for them to return to Gaza.
This initiative reflects Indonesia’s ongoing support for humanitarian efforts and a peaceful resolution to the conflict, while also reinforcing the country's commitment to a two-state solution.
