Indonesia, through the Maemuna Center in collaboration with the Aqsa Working Group (AWG), has announced plans to build the Indonesian Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA) in Gaza City to address the ongoing health crisis.

The project, valued at Rp402 billion or US$24.6 million, aims to restore essential medical services for women and children in Gaza, where 19 out of 36 hospitals have shut down due to conflict since October 2023, resulting in the deaths of over 1,000 medical personnel.

The hospital will be constructed on a 5,000-square-meter waqf land donated by the Palestinian Ministry of Health and will have four floors, including a basement, covering a total area of 10,310 square meters.

With strong backing from Indonesian humanitarian organizations, government institutions, and religious bodies, this initiative stands as a symbol of Indonesia’s unwavering solidarity with Palestine.
