Pelita Air officially launches its first international flight route connecting Jakarta to Singapore on August 18, 2025, marking a historic milestone for the state-owned airline subsidiary of PT Pertamina as it expands beyond domestic operations.
CEO Dendy Kurniawan announced that the daily service will operate with Airbus A320 aircraft, departing Jakarta at 07:00 and returning at 10:00, while Singapore departures are scheduled at 11:00 with arrival back in Jakarta at 11:50, utilizing Terminal 4 at Singapore's Changi International Airport.
The airline has partnered with Async as its representative and General Sales Agent plus SATS Singapore for ground handling services to ensure comfortable and secure passenger experiences at both airports.
Dendy emphasized that the Singapore route represents the initial step in Pelita Air's international expansion strategy, aimed at strengthening connectivity between Jakarta and Singapore while providing new alternatives for international travelers and responding to increasing air travel demand in Southeast Asia.
Currently operating 13 Airbus A320 aircraft serving 17 domestic destinations including Jakarta, Banda Aceh, Medan, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, and Denpasar, Pelita Air plans to add three more aircraft by December 2025 as part of its fleet expansion to support both domestic and international growth.
