Scoot, Singapore Airlines' low-cost subsidiary, secured third place in AirlineRatings.com's ranking of the world's safest low-cost airlines for 2026, positioning behind Hong Kong's HK Express and Australia's Jetstar in the prestigious global safety assessment.

AirlineRatings.com, the world's only airline safety and product rating website, evaluated carriers using comprehensive criteria including flight incident rates, fleet age and size, fatality records, and compliance with international audits and standards set by globally recognized aviation organizations such as the International Air Transport Association, with airlines operating fewer than 25 aircraft excluded from consideration.

Scoot currently operates to more than 20 destinations across Asia and Australia and recently launched several direct services to popular tourist destinations in Thailand and Vietnam, demonstrating the carrier's expanding regional presence alongside its strong safety credentials.

The complete top 10 safest low-cost airlines for 2026 includes HK Express, Jetstar Australia, Scoot, FlyDubai, EasyJet Group, Southwest Airlines, AirBaltic, Vietjet Air, Wizz Air Group, and AirAsia Group, representing carriers from diverse global markets.

Meanwhile, parent company Singapore Airlines ranked seventh among full-service carriers in the safety rankings, reinforcing the Singapore Airlines Group's overall commitment to maintaining rigorous safety standards across both its premium and budget airline operations.
