Singapore Airlines has retained its position as the world's most admired airline for the second consecutive year while climbing to 24th place overall—up from 28th in 2025—on Fortune magazine's prestigious World's Most Admired Companies 2026 list, making it the only Singapore-based company in the top 50 and the second-highest ranked Asian firm behind Toyota Motor at 23rd.
The national carrier, assessed through a comprehensive survey of 3,380 executives, directors and securities analysts globally who evaluated companies based on nine attributes including quality of management, innovation, global competitiveness, social responsibility and ability to attract talent, outperformed industry rivals Delta Air Lines (11th overall), Air France-KLM (third in airlines), United Airlines, and Germany's Lufthansa to secure the top airline ranking.
According to SIA CEO Goh Choon Phong, the recognition reflects the passion, dedication and resilience of the airline's workforce who continuously strive to deliver world-class travel experiences through exceptional customer service, well-designed cabins and luxurious in-flight offerings that have earned multiple accolades including "World's Best International Airline" and Skytrax's "World's Best Cabin Crew."
The prestigious ranking comes as Singapore Airlines continues demonstrating operational excellence with record-breaking performance including 41.6 million passengers carried in 2025—up 6.6% from 2024—and achieving a monthly high of 3.8 million passengers in December 2025, while also ranking fourth-most punctual airline in Asia-Pacific with a 78.58% on-time performance score according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.
Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies list, now in its 28th edition compiled by consulting firm Korn Ferry, confirms that corporate reputation built on leadership quality, talent retention and strong culture creates lasting competitive advantage, with Singapore Airlines joining elite companies like Apple (19th consecutive year at #1), Microsoft, Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and Alphabet among globally respected brands that dominate their respective industries through sustained excellence.
