China has firmly expressed its support for the Gaza reconstruction plan initiated by Palestine and Arab States.
This commitment underscores China’s active role in promoting regional stability and resolving the prolonged conflict in the Middle East.
China’s Support for Gaza Reconstruction
In an official statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian affirmed that China fully supports the Gaza reconstruction plan and post-war urban governance. This statement reflects China's consistent advocacy for justice for the Palestinian people and upholding international peace principles.
During a meeting in Cairo, Arab leaders agreed to establish a non-factional technocratic committee responsible for managing Gaza for at least six months. This committee will operate under the Palestinian Authority to ensure a more stable and inclusive governance transition post-conflict.

Budget and Objectives of the Reconstruction
The Gaza reconstruction plan is estimated to cost around $53 billion. These funds will be allocated to rebuilding infrastructure devastated by war and ensuring that Palestinian citizens are not displaced from their homeland.
This initiative aims to improve the living conditions of the people of Gaza while supporting social and economic stability in the region.
China’s involvement in supporting Gaza’s reconstruction aligns with Arab nations' efforts to push for a ceasefire and facilitate humanitarian aid. Furthermore, this step aims to safeguard regional stability, which ongoing conflicts have persistently challenged.

China’s Firm Stance on Gaza
According to a report by Xinhua Net, during a regular press conference, Lin Jian emphasized that the principle of "Palestinians governing Palestine" must be upheld in post-war Gaza governance.
This principle aligns with the two-state solution proposed in various peace negotiations, ultimately striving for peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel and long-term peace and stability in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also reiterated his country’s firm position on Gaza’s status. “Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people. Any inappropriate attempt to alter its status will only create new chaos and distance us further from peace,” he stated.
Wang Yi further asserted that China will continue to fight for justice, peace, and sustainable development for the people of the Middle East.

China’s Commitment to Supporting a Peaceful Resolution
As a major global political player, China continues to demonstrate its active role in supporting the resolution of the Palestine-Israel conflict. By backing Gaza’s reconstruction, China affirms that the territory is an inseparable part of Palestine and should be governed by its people.
This support is not only diplomatic but also reflects genuine concern for the well-being of the Palestinian people, who have lived in uncertainty for years due to ongoing conflicts. This initiative is expected to pave the way for a more inclusive and sustainable peace process in the Middle East as a whole.
With collaboration between Palestine and Arab nations and support from the international community, Gaza’s reconstruction is hoped to be a starting point for establishing stable governance and better living conditions for its people.
